1. Do You Have an Idea?
Ideate a solution: Albert Einstein once said that “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” Ideate means to imagine or conceive. As such, ideas begin as intuitive notions that relate seemingly unrelated things together in a new context. The nature of brainstorming possible solutions to ideas is a convolution of, first collecting expanding possibilities and then reducing them down to something useful and potentially marketable.
Ideas must be be quickly evaluated against measurable parameters. The finest aspects of each idea is continuously refined to eventually become closely aligned with the needs of the invention’s customer. At EfO Design we are efficient in implementing this process with both single and larger brainstorming groups.
We take pride in the ability to coach this process and teach its inventive principles to clients who don’t consider themselves to be highly inventive or creative. Conversely, for more creatively inclined clients, EfO Design can instead enhance their ideas and shape them in such a way as to powerfully stand out in order to capture potential investor and corporate management interest. EfO Design staff is Six Sigma Black Belts certified which enables them to utilize a process called “Theory of Inventive Problem Solving” or (TIPS). We use this methodology to evaluate given ideas while concurrently performing a functional analysis of all involved influencing elements.
Furthermore, TIPS is used to eliminate weak and unnecessary elements while it deductively encourages the formation of creative and robust ideas. In other words, it reveals patterns of evolution. The TIPS methodology has led to significant new discoveries and inventions. This higher adaptive process can also be used as a means to judge/understand how the invention’s competitors would react once the invention is released to market.
